"Hygienized" and reshaped shoes

A new shoe rental service

To meet the needs of its customers while respecting the environment, the Made in France brand Bocage imagines a shoe rental service. After a few months of experimentation, the shoe brand extended its service to around thirty stores in France.

The Eram group subsidiary repackages shoes already worn in its Montjean-sur-Loire factory.

The concept

The principle is simple and easy, Bocage offers a rental service for new shoes, which can be renewed every two months by subscription. To do this, all you have to do is go to the Bocage website, fill in your shoe tastes, size, shoe shape… Following that, a selection of three shoes is made for you and awaits you in the store. nearest to you so you can try them out. A specialist is also present in the store to advise you. Once you have made your choice, the pair of shoes is yours for 2 months. At the end of the two months you have two options: you want to repeat the process or buy the pair of shoes at a lower cost.

As for the subscription it amounts to € 29 per month.

Healthy feet in healthy shoes

Bocage chooses Hygitec to support it in its shoe rental project. Refurbished shoes (low shoes and boots) need a 100% antibacterial treatment, so the company has equipped itself with Hygitec changing rooms and shoe dryers to disinfect and deodorize them.

Three steps for a good reconditioning

On arrival, the shoes are disinfected using a Hygitec shoe dryer. The shoes are inserted on a sleeve equipped with a valve activated by the weight of the shoe. The drying and disinfection cycle is performed in less than an hour.

Once this first step is completed, the shoes can be worked in complete safety in the workshop.

Before putting them back on sale, the shoes are once again dried, disinfected and deodorized in a drying locker room. The drying locker room is ideal for storing, drying and disinfecting pairs of shoes, the machine starts up for two hours, the drying is done by hot air and is provided by a ventilation system coupled with a heating resistance . Hygitec technology preserves the technical properties of the shoes. Disinfection and deodorization are ensured by an ozone-forming germicidal lamp which allows the total elimination of bacteria, viruses and other germs responsible for bad odors.

Once this cycle is over, the shoes are ready for a second life!
